Enter your artwork in the Arkansas Wildlife state contest

Make a work of art about the natural beauty of our state . All Arkansas students , from grades K-12 , are invited to enter a Wildlife of Arkansas student art contest . Entries will be accepted Jan . 18 to March 31 .
The Arkansas Wildlife Federation , with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission ,
Elliana Brantis holds this contest annually . Winning artwork will be part of a traveling art exhibition showcased at locations around the state , beginning at the Arkansas State
Capitol in Little Rock , where student winners will be recognized at a May reception .
Artwork will also be featured in the summer issue of Arkansas Out of Doors magazine , the official publication of the Arkansas Wildlife Federation . Each winner will be mailed a copy of the magazine featuring their winning artwork .
Artists are asked to create artwork inspired by their natural surroundings , which could include native animals or landscapes . The entries could be of a herd of deer or a single bird egg or a tiny fish , for example . Student artists have entered such subjects as sunsets , waterfalls , autumn trees , frogs , butterflies , trout , wildflowers and many other wild animals – a very wide range of subjects .
The artworks can be created with oil , acrylic , charcoal ,
